Home and Away - work place harassment

So Jenni just got a job working for Brodie. Brodie went to kiss her, she pushed him off. So far so justified.
But she was then the one apologising and him telling her to leave.
Following day she goes in to sort it out, makes it clear she needs the job but he basically makes her feel uncomfy and she leaves, he pays her extra money as "severance"
The insinuation is that she was in the wrong.

Aibu to think this is really shitty of them to portray it like this? It implies that she was in the wrong for refusing her boss and he - man! boss! was totally OK to hit on his new employee

I thought Jeannie and Brodie were already kind of seeing each other? Didn't she ask him out for a drink?

I might be an episode behind. Yes EB.

They were gonna date then she got the job so said no dating. He goe to kiss her, she pushes him away. He read the situation wrong and he got his answer. All good.

But there's several scenes where she's soon sorry for what SHE did. Oy Evie pointed out he shouldn't be hitting on the staff

Matt and Evie are solo gonna get it on

She has spent a few days giving him mixed messages and I mean really over the top, ie wiping his face, kissing his cheek etc. Then he reciprocated and she made out it was all new. For a while I thought it was a twins story but now it looks like she has a memory issue or she has multiple personalities. Brodie hasn't done anything wrong as I see it. He doesn't know what's going on with her.

She's a bit strange.

But I think the way she's had to keep apologising and explaining is being overdone. He went in for a kiss, she pushed him off. She didn't beat him.

Laying it thick on how she keeps apologising makes it seem like if you give a guy mixed signals and he goes in to kiss you, you can't say no. Don't we teach our girls it doesn't matter what you did - if you don't want it to happen, don't let it.

Maybe I'm reading too much in.

She is weird.

I didn't say it very clearly but I didn't want to say that mixed messages were therefore a green light. She seems very on/off with everything, which is why I initially thought twins. Now we see she's getting calls from someone and lying to them about where she is, so are they going with difficult parents or secret family?
