To wish there was a place to name and shame absent, dickhead "fathers"?

My dd's dad is a dickhead. Has never contributed to her upbringing, barely sees her (all time low was three times in one year, and currently only when I prompt him). He has done the same to his elder daughter from a previous relationship. This Christmas he called her once, and when she returned the call (we were out) didn't pick up and hasn't been in contact since. He says he is too busy to see her. There are pictures of him on Facebook (mutual friends) at parties and hanging out with other people and their kids. It's just so fucking pathetic and shit for her. And it will never change.

I realise this is a trivial wish in the over scheme of things, but I wish I could publicly name and shame him. Actually I wish I could comment on every fucking photo that it's a shame he hasn't had time to call or see his daughter for four months. Dickhead.

Turn this around, the less time he spends with her the better you don't want idiots with your DD. You want to surround your DD with positive, kind thoughtful role models.

Not cuntish at all Well, a legitimate question I thought. I agree absent fathers are scum, but I also wouldn't go on to have a child with someone who I knew had previously abandoned a child. Maybe this bit of info was kept from OP before she got pregnant, hence me asking if she knew.

OP, I'd concentrate on building a great life for you and your DD without giving him more opportunities to disappoint you all. Good luck

I don't think it would ultimately be productive or helpful for the children involved. I can't really see the purpose. If you mean to warn other women, I'm guessing that a blanket rule to be very careful with contraception until you know people really well would be more sensible, because someone would always have to be the first child dumped. IYSWIM. Plus it would be open to all sorts of abuse.
