Morning I am hoping that Mumsnet can help with this. This appeared in my rented property and needs to go. It is from IKEA. I think it is a futon base but I can't work out how to work it! The back fold down into a less upright position but it still looks like a settee base, iyswim.

When you say it need to go? Is that as in to the tip? Looks incomplete to me.
I'd say it's a futon too (without the mattress)

I was going to put it on EBay. It does need a mattress but there isn't one, hence my confusion!

Are you allowed to sell it, I'd be asking the landlord first!

It's a couch! (Of sorts) Takes four big cushions and is actually super comfy haha

I'm assuming the OP is the landlord and some tenants left it behind?

It's a sofa bed. Lift the bottom and back in to a v shape then flatten out.

Won't go for much on eBay without the cushions.

That's a sofa bed? I had one for years and had no idea. Everyday is a school day on MN.

It folds flat.

We had one and it didn't fold flat. It was a sofa and the back reclined or could be a bit more upright. It needs four large cushions to go with it

I can't make it lie flat - there are two lugs in the way which don't appear to pull out.
Thanks so much for your comments.

I had one years ago, and there were bolts you could put in to keep it upright, as without it had a tendency to flatten itself while you were sitting on it.
