To be worry about not being paid?

I work at the Chemists and started on the 18th. My line manager said I would be paid for 2 weeks worth of work on the 28th (today) and I haven't been paid.

I'm new so yesterday (27th) I registered for E-Payslips at about 1pm. I'm not sure if that makes a difference? Confused

Does anyone have any experience in this sort of thing?

Thank you Brew

I think you should possibly have registered sooner. It may be that the registration was completed too late. Large companies like Boots do their payments in bulk...so if Epayslips had not fully sorted out your account, then it might be that you weren't picked up by the system.

However....it may still come....not all payments clear at midnight.

E payslip or not the should have paid you if your details were in on time. I get paid on the last day of the month and it isn't always in until a few hours after midnight so could go in in the morning. Speak to your manager or hr manager had they're available and see if they can pay via a cheque this month.

It will probably drop in the early hours - it isn't usually at midnight

I have never worked in a job where I got paid at midnight.

It was always early hours and one job was anytime before lunchtime.

Where I used to work, if a new starter hadn't completed all the registration stuff by a clear week before the payroll date, then payroll would generate a paper cheque for them.

No idea if your employers do likewise but phone the payroll office after 9am and they'll help.

We usually get paid on a Thursday. If its monthly, then it'll be the last Thursday of the month. Mine has gone in this morning. E-payslips has nothing to do with getting paid.

I should add that I don't know what time my payment came through. You may or not have your payment by now. I have never had any problems getting paid by them.

Most large businesses have a payroll cut off day ,by this date the payroll department needs to have received all the relevant paperwork like P45,bank acc details , if they don't have it in time you won't get paid usually til the next payday so best to get you manager to check. Boots will be no different to any other company

If you still haven't been paid it sounds like you missed the payroll deadline. You can ask payroll to raise a payment for you, especially as your manager said that you would be paid, but they are unlikely to do so.

Not sure if you are in the UK or not but if you are you only posted this 02:12 am! You need to give it a chance to go in. I probably wouldn't query it until Friday to be honest
