To ask if there are any Germans ideally from Berlin around

After Friday's vote DH and I are looking at our options, obviously.

DH is Spanish but studied and worked in the UK for 20 years as have I.

He works in IT and he doesn't speak much German but willing to learn now.
Can anyone recommend any good forums or job sites where we can look for English speaking jobs? Any other tips would be welcome. How is it living in Berlin, what are school like and what areas are good in terms of primary and secondary schooling?

Thank you

I am an Aussie living in the Netherlands and have found the Expatica forums really helpful for these sorts of questions.

My knowledge of living in Berlin is a bit rusty, as my family left when I was small, but from what I hear from others, it is still a very open, progressive city, it is easy to get child care, there's little racism and little homophobia.

I recommend Prenzlauer Berg since you are academics with a young family, as that is where that kind of family seems to live. The gentrification is often criticised, but I think your family would thrive there, and the high number of other Brits would help you feel at home. (Using the Wikipedia article for reference here.)

I don't know about schools, but since lots of young families live there, there's likely good schools nearby.
