The Gene Simmonds trailer on radio 2

Gene Simmonds has a trailer on R2 in which he asks "you don't know who I am? Then go ask your mar-my".

Erm, don't you mean grandma, Mr Simmonds? I always imagine that the presenter who's just played said trailer sits squirming with embarrassment when it's finished. I can't stand him.

I like Gene Simmons. He takes the piss out of himself. People my age are R2's target audience and my mum is a pensioner (probably the same age as him, actually).

He's not tongue in cheek on the rest of the stuff he has to say about women.

I'm sure you're right zebra. Once you'd said it it was obvious. Just the very sound of his voice sickens me.

Never gave it a though tbh, I AM old enough (just) to know who he is so my kids can ask me
Keep meaning to listen to his show as love the music on his trailers but never remember.

Listened to interviews with him and yes they have sold a gazzillion records which he is rightly proud of but he doesn't take himself seriously at all.
