Dp- "muffled talking sounds" (from another room)
Me- "if your talking that to me I can't hear you"
DP- "repeats self at the same volume in the same place"

WELL IM FUCKING SORRY BUT THE SWITCH TO TURN MY HEARING UP SEEMS TO BE BROKEN.
Venting here.
Happy Sunday.

haha, YANBU, I just keep repeating 'I can't hear you', 'I can't hear you' on a loop.

If he wants you to hear, he can come to you. Unless he is stuck in concrete or mudslide.

Dh does this. I just shout 'if I couldn't hear you the first time, I can't here you the second'

It's stopped him doing it.....most of the time.

We have a "no talking to each other from another room" rule in our house.

I just don't respond. I stay completely silent. Then the offending family member has to come and find me. Then I can hear them. Job done.

That's brilliant, next time I'm going to hide so they have to find me.

My DH does this all the time! He knows damned well that I have a hearing impairment anyway, yet he consistently asks me questions when I'm in another room or walks out of the room mid-conversation so that all I hear are ever-decreasing mumbles from the corridor. And then he gets annoyed that I don't respond/ask him to repeat what he saidAngry
