AIBU to think this is a little too much packaging for a cushion. 6 identical cushions, we bought, and got 6 identical boxes ...

Yup, Had a box that big (possibly bigger) for a single kettle (which came in its own box anyway Hmm). Also Tesco, so wasteful!

Grin at 6 boxes for 6 cushions. Someone clearly had a common sense bypass.

I ordered 6 towels. Each came individually packaged in a plastic postal bag, and then all inside a bigger bag. So 7 big silver bags for 6 small hand towels.

I bought a bra on Amazon the other day and it arrived in a box about that big. Granted I'm rather full chested but it still seems excessive. Grin

We once received a single bicycle pump in a cube-shaped box big enough for the DCs to play in, ie the length of the pump was the length of each of the 3 sides!

Its a strange thing that these days we seem to have replaced shopping at local shops (mostly fun) with queuing at the local waste recycling place after buying thing off t'internet (bloody annoying).

YABU.

I bet your sort would be the first to complain if your cushions smashed in transit due to inadequate packaging.

They're pre packed, not each order individually packed. It's the price we pay for wanting things 'same day' or 'next day'.

Amazon seem to have (mostly at least) got better with the size of the box they use.

One good thing is at least it's cardboard so more easily recyclable. This happened to me when I ordered a pair of shoes from very and the box came in a massive bag about 4 times the size of the actual box; such a waste of plastic it's crazy!!! Angry

We ordered six rolls of ten refuse sacks from Amazon and each one came in a box like that with scrunchy paper around it that we needed to dispose of. It seemed to me as if they wanted us to use the bags up quickly so we'd need to reorder!

my cats would go totally off their rocker if they saw that amount of boxes in our house.

We once ordered 8 cushions from debenhams and they came in a box each like that AND we're all delivered individually separately over the course of 5 days.

clarrrp mine too. For once there'd be a little less no fighting as there'd be room for one each and a couple spare:o

Gaffer tape them together and make a play tunnel.
Fill with shredded paper , drop in a few yogurt drops, fun time for rats.

John Lewis are crap for common sense bypass. I am always amazed by how much packaging they can add to my order.
