To have a glass of prosecco?!

Bit of a light hearted one.

We've just been swimming. The munchkin (18 weeks) loved it as usual, but we've had such a palava!

OH gave us a lift to swimming on his break and in the chaos of leaving I forgot my key, my phone and my purse. We get to the swimming baths, I realise I have nothing at all but have no way of getting OH to come back and presume he didn't realise either.

Swimming goes...swimmingly. Then the chaos begins again. Hungry and tired munchkin post-swimming lesson. Belting it down with rain. Hole up in the cafe and feed her saddened that I can't feed or water myself. Then have to trudge to OH's work in the pouring rain, convince a security guard to let us into reception so they can phone my OH and he can give me the key. Then trudge home.

Just got in. Munchkin is chilling out and drifting off to sleep in her swing. The house is bursting with pre-swimming mess. I am inexplicably drawn to the case of prosecco we have. Would I be unreasonable to have a bottle glass of prosecco while I face it all, or is that terrible of me? I figure it's after lunchtime. Couldn't hurt right?!

Please enable me. Wine

Unfortunately Kanye we only have prosecco, otherwise a glass of red would go down an absolute treat.

YY to fire, we are getting cosy warm. I've yet to face the chaos, though. I think some kind of alcohol is needed, surely.

Just remembered I've got gin and tonic, too. None of these drinks are particularly warming after our debacle!

I vote G&T. Something quite warming and soothing about it which prosecco just doesn't have. Especially if you have a warm fire.

Mmm.

My coffee is looking less and less appealing right now...

I quite like a ginger wine when it's cold and miserable...

I think OH might have put a bottle in the fridge, for emergencies of course, MrsTerryPratchett. However if not it might be a bang in the freezer jobbie to get it cold enough.

figginz, I'm warming more and more to the idea of a nice G&T. Just discovered we are off to the in laws after OH gets back from work so might take the edge off Grin

LBOCS2 I've never tried ginger wine! In fact, I don't think I've ever heard of it?

Just blitzed the living room so it's almost bearable to look at. To be honest, what I want is a glass of pinot grigio and a warm bath but that doesn't look like it's on the cards!

Hand Munchkin to DH when he gets in and finish the bottle. You'll see the funny side of it by then.
