even though I can't answer most of the questions, whilst waiting for Beverly Hills to start. Preferably this would take place in the living room of my friend who has just received delivery of their new floral three piece suite. Well, am I?

??
I love trivial pursuit. Unfortunately I am surrounded by people who claim ro also like it but from the start their main aim seems to be to come up with ways to make the game as short as possible as it "goes on forever". Ok but when its over the tv goes back on full blast and we all vegetated in front of it. That's so much more entertaining.

Maybe we could play trivial pursuit just until the Commodore 64 loads up a game?

We still have the navy Triv with yellow writing. It adds an extra layer of challenge when you have to think back to what would have been the correct answer given the geopolitical background of 1985. And it puts uppity teens in their place.

An Arts & Lit question, please!

YANBU at all - I'd just like someone to agree to play any version with me as I'm banned from Trivial Pursuit in our household (although DH and DC still enjoy the odd game) and have had to resort to playing the computer on my ipad to get my fix.
It's just not the same and I'm sure the computer cheats as it always seems to land on a wedge and get the question right.

I bloody loved TP. Used to play it all the time. Did we have nothing else to do?

It's in the cupboard. Shall I retrieve it?

We loved the Baby Boomer version.

I have the navy box edition, the sky blue family edition and the imposter new edition. I used to have an extra set of questions too.

I have nobody to play with :(

I hated the Baby Boomer edition. I was word perfect on the original.

I have an 80s version too. It contains the question "What was the name of the TV Bush Kangaroo?" which has given us a whole new adjective - something is "Skippy" if it's ridiculously easy. I'm not sure the DCs even realise we've made this up and not everyone says it.

Sorry, I was too busy playing outside on my pogo stick to read all these replies. Isnt it annoying when no one will play a board game with you as they are all to busy being glued to their screens.

Quick game of trivial pursuit followed by Blind Date anyone?

I love Triv - i'm not allowed to play it - as in our circle of friends - it always ended up as team of two (me, one other guy) against everyone else (6 people) - and they lost - every time. I blame my encyclopediac knowledge of crap 80's tv/films and a lot of random crap in my head - combined with his sports knowledge - to destroy the opposition

My DM's set was older than we were, growing up. That meant the current affairs and World questions were a teensy bit tricky for us on occasion.

I have the Harry Potter and BBT expansion packs. They're great :D

I was watching Cuckoo last night and they had the old school TP. Grin I still have ours from the early 90s but no one will play it with me. The traitors bought the updated version at Christmas.
