To ds (8) whenever he is in the vicinity of a loo?

Not in public obvs.

I've walked past before now and he's with garments around ankles, iPad in hand about 3 in from face, weeing totally 'freestyle'. (Ie mainly outside the loo..) sorry if TMi.
Is this normal?!

I have two teen boys and it was like that for a while. It made me fret about what they did at other people's houses. Blush

I would definitely say gadgets are not to go into the loo too.

Not at all U if you're the one cleaning it up. I often trill "seat up" at my 11 yo DS mid wee and try to intercept him on the way to the bathroom to remove his iPad as being gadget free seems to improve his memory for seat lifting.

YANBU. ..
5 DSs & DH here.. I don't allow the boys to use the ensuite toilet Blush at least one toilet I can sit on without wiping first!

The other 2 toilets and surrounding floor are cleaned daily many, many times aday. I have preached, begged, ordered, made sit down to pee but they still do it Confused

It's a boy thing. My ds has the attention span of a gnat, he starts off aiming then his attention wanders and he starts looking round the bathroom and his aim goes way off. It drives me insane, especially when he's gone to the loo in the night.

Tiny Haha, yes - totally agree with the 'wee following gaze' thing.

When ds is absorbed in some game on his iPad, he jerks from side to side - as if steering imaginary car- and the stream follows suit!
