AIBU?

to not want a daily email from MNHQ

Seems to have started this morning. Did everyone else get one?

I usually read the weekly ones (except the jobs one) but a daily one is going too far. I get enough spam as it is.

The only time I get one is when some PM's me, which is rare Grin

Alter your settings on your mumsnet account.

Emailing MNHQ would have been more appropriate here.

I think it's an appropriate subject for discussion.

I recognise that other people may feel differently from me about this.

I don't get daily emails. Change your settings.

Never had a daily email. Im missing out! Email mnhq op and ask them what you need to do to stop this.

Change your settings. Why would that no be your first port of call?

I have just changed them, thanks I didn't know I could.

The point is, this is a new thing. I used to get a weekly Talk Roundup, which was fine. Now they are making it daily, which is not.

There is no option in my settings to select weekly rather than daily.

Interested to know what others think.

There's a topic called Site Stuff for this sort of thing. If you report your own OP they'll move this thread there, and also see it, read it and answer it. They don't necessarily look at threads anywhere else on the site.

It must be a settings thing. I only get one if I receive a PM.

Also agree that this thread is unnecessary when you could have contacted MNHQ for help.

I got my first one today. I think it's a new thing.

Yes, I am aware that I can contact MNHQ about this directly.

But I am interested in debating the issue with other MN users as to whether they think a daily email is a good thing, or would prefer a weekly one.

I think it is a good thing to discuss.
I quite liked the irregular emails I used to get but yes recently I have had far more, interesting to know it is a policy.
Will adjust my settings or unsuscribe I guess.
