Oh that's horrible sad

You must be a really good wreathmaker, if that's any consolation. Nobody has shown any interest in my half-arsed version.

KnockMeDown Fri 11-Dec-15 23:23:51

Wasn't there a thread last year where this exact same thing happened?

scarlets Fri 11-Dec-15 23:24:04

That's grim. What's wrong with people...

HarrietSchulenberg Fri 11-Dec-15 23:24:14

Oh no! Check your neighbours' doors: someone on here had had their wreath pinched last year and found it on a door across the road.

CharleyDavidson Fri 11-Dec-15 23:25:07

Yes, check your neighbours doors if last year is anything to go by.

Cheeky buggers! I hope you find it.

patienceisvirtuous Fri 11-Dec-15 23:25:53

I spent a fortune making a wreath last week and been keeping my fingers X this doesn't happen. Sorry it did to you x

BlueBananas Fri 11-Dec-15 23:25:56

Now I'm mildly disappointed that mine isn't worth nicking

Had to go to A&E to get my fingers un-superglued when I made the fucker aswell ... had bandages on for a long while ... made opening wine bottles very inconvenient <humph>

That is ballsy!

A woman in my town was just arrested for stealing people's Christmas decorations.

MrsWembley Fri 11-Dec-15 23:29:26

Bugger me, I did wonder if it was the same poster as last year!

Check out your neighbours doors!grin

Yep, we had this last year

It wS on a neighbours door and she nicked it back and wired it to the door

Go looking for yours

Creiddylad Fri 11-Dec-15 23:41:01

When I bought mine from the florist, she told me to be careful that people do steal them. Not sure how I should be careful though, take it in at night and when I am out?

rainbowstardrops Fri 11-Dec-15 23:48:28

Maybe hide little mouse traps or the like inside them ..... that'll give the thieving buggers a shock! grin

NaiceVillageOfTheDammed Fri 11-Dec-15 23:48:30

What did you do Laurie?

TobleroneBoo Fri 11-Dec-15 23:48:48

Cable tie them to the door knocker!

MrsWembley Fri 11-Dec-15 23:50:07

That was a good thread.grin

Can you top it, OP? Assuming you find the fuckwit who did it?

CassieBearRawr Fri 11-Dec-15 23:53:58

I'm always worried ours'll go missing too, it's a right fat beast though so hopefully too difficult to pinch!

HaveYouSeenHerLately Fri 11-Dec-15 23:58:36

I was going to make one tomorrow but can envisage this happening!

fgrin at PP with the superglued fingers!

electric current running through it

What is your AIBU question

Rainbunny Sat 12-Dec-15 00:19:13

There's an epidemic of Christmas decoration stealing where I live (along with doorstep parcels). Our local news often shows footage from people's home security cameras filming people rolling up in cars in the dead of night and running up to grab any outdoor decorations they can quickly grab. It's disgusting and ruins things for the whole community. I also can't seriously believe that there is such a black market demand for Christmas decorations but obviously there must be?

BillBrysonsBeard Sat 12-Dec-15 00:46:26

People will steal anything, it's ridiculous! I'd be very pissed off if that happened to me especially if I made it with DS.
