IKEA - aibu to ask what I should look out for?

My one experience at IKEA was about ten years ago. I hated it. I have seen something I need though and have just about time to nip up there today. I am unlikely to go back there before another ten years have passed. If you are an IKEA lover, is there anything I should look out for?
( I know it isn't a proper AIBU, but I need to set off in the next half hour and I would really appreciate it).

I would advise you to take your time - walk round - stop and have a coffee or lunch then tackle the market hall

Yes the undie octopus. Brilliant thing. Although two of my octopus's legs are currently sitting on the patio (detached from the octopus!)

Folding reusuable carriers to keep in your handbag. I'm trying to keep one clean for when buying clothes.

Washbags, refillable bottles for toiletries - quite nice and very cheap.

Pans have been mentioned on here recently as good and cheap.

Everything really - our entire house is Ikea and nothing has been a disappointment.

Frozen Daim cake, meatballs, cheese, reindeer salami. Pick n Mix. I have half an idea about doing my main food shop one week at Ikea. OK, I will have to buy bread, salad, milk etc somewhere else, but I could get meatballs, mash, daim, cheese, salmon, hot dogs, vegetable burger things, biscuits and cake, cheese, ham joint - enough for several meals at leat.

Nothing. Run in, locate wanted item, run out. Do not even bother to follow the markings on the floor, avert your eyes in the marketplace and at the kiosk. It's the Devils playground.

I always stock up on tea lights, paper napkins in 100 packs, butterscotch chocolate spread(only choc spread dd can eat due to nut allergy.) They are fab for storage, bedding and kitchenware. Love Ikea.

Cannot understand people being snotty about IKEA- if you don't like it then don't go, nobody is forcing you. It's brilliant for kids going to uni - saw loads of parents with loaded trollies setting their kids up without breaking the bank.

I love Ikea, especially as DS is transfixed by the place- it is a toddler's paradise as the kitchen doors don't have safety catches on, he is allowed to sit on every single armchair and he can play with all of the toys in the children's department.

We go late afternoon when it's quiet and he doesn't get in anyone's way. He has a ball and I always end up buying more than I went in for.

Kallax storage is amazing!
Yes to the wrapping paper - it's great quality, really thick and you get loads on a roll. One roll lasted me two Christmasses! (I obviously used some other stuff but still).
