Are these just an expensive gimmick? Or AIBU.

Am I filling the fruit tube correctly?

It doesn't taste any different to me?

Does one cut the fruit a certain way?

I've been mugged off haven't I? Confused

Confused

What do you mean less than sense?

I'm asking a question ..... AIBU to think it's just a water bottle & they are charging more because you put fruit in it?!

I know the ones you're talking about - water bottles with a removable mesh in the middle where you can put fruit etc.
I've been wondering the same, although I haven't bought one yet

Yes someday those ones

Not sure why others are flummoxed at the post?

Pete. Wtf are you on about. A product for putting fruit in a tube in a bottle?

Report
steff13 · 18/11/2015 22:44

You mean the water bottles with the tube in the center that you put fruit in, correct? I don't think they really cost more here, they're about the same as any glass water bottle.

Probably because they, like I, have never heard of these fruit water bottles. Are they made by a particular company? Do you have a link to the website for them?

Report
DonkeyOaty · 18/11/2015 22:45

Oh. Well I never. I guess it's one of them I Saw You Coming things huh.

Just watch out for constantly sipping fruit water (especially acidic fruit) - not good for your teeth.

I do like fruit in my water and will have a cup of fruit water at the gym, but that is it.

Google takes 2 seconds. I don't see how all the "eh? What?" posts help.

YANBU I can't tell the difference.

Why can't you just cut your fruit up and put it in a regular water bottle? What's the mesh for?

Report
NeedsAsockamnesty · 19/11/2015 00:03

Mint op that's the way to go

Report
MarkRuffaloCrumble · 19/11/2015 00:07

I guess the mesh stops you getting bits in your water so you just get the very faint flavour of fruit like water that's been in the fridge with no lid on

DP was given one as all his work mates are using them. Not sure why plain old water isn't good enough, but I suppose it's a bit like putting a slice of lemon in it. Just more complicated and wasteful!

Sooooo laughing at this thread. I have a new BFF who is 23 years younger than me (we work together and get get on really, really well). My DD is 14 on Sunday, and is closer in age to my new BFF. And also get on really well.

My new BFF has one of these drinking vessels, and my DD described it as "tmblr" (for the benefit of everyone, that = coool and gooood).

I've brought her one (from Sainsbury's, so NOT really "that" tmblr).

Get with it, or get out, you uncool mn-ers!

I'm down with the kidz!

I used to have one in the days before I got my dishwasher. Couldn't clean it properly so it got binned because the bottom of the bottle was a bit funky.
Leave the fruit to infuse for a good few hours.
I liked mint and cucumber in mine. Nectarine and strawberry are good too. I could really taste it though.

Why so bitchy? To the vast majority of people the thread is obvious.
