to find laundrette washing mashines fascinating?

broken washer so took a mountain of dirty stuff to the laundrette.
the mashines are so quick, it's fascinating. 20 min for the load.
hardly any time to strike up a conversation with the lady who stripped into her undies to put the joggers into her load as well..

I know they use a swimming pool of water for each wash...

I don't trust 'em Smile.

Stuff can't possibly come out of those as clean as when they get three hours in my Bosch.

I always assumed they can't be doing a very good job at that speed

but expensive!
I took two loads, one was 8 quid (cavern of a washer).

my thought as well.
can't possibly be clean (and dd's white school tights weren't) with such a quick wash.
I did a great bit of people watching and judging

And the industrial tumble driers. Mine takes an absolute age, literally 2hrs if towels but at the launderette, 20 min.

I looked into the cost out of interest, you could get them for about £1500 I think.

don't they use a gas instead of air?
and prob an insane amount of energy.

I love them!

I always take a book but rarely read it; I end up staring at the stuff drying.

DS just gone off to uni, they have a prepaid card, so no digging for change and an ap that texts them when the washing is finished. You can also look to see how many machines are being used before you set out and how long each one has left.

I expect so Tarz I wouldn't get one (no money, nowhere to put it and my green conscience couldn't take it).

Still loved it though. Grin

Mine bows at the front and is deeper at the middle . Which wouldnt normally be a problem but the space is up against a corner cupbourd and stops the door opening properly.
