To not want to talk to DM and DF right now?

It was my birthday 5 weeks ago. DM sent this text "Happy Birthday." Nothing from DF. Their birthdays both in the preceding 4 weeks. DC and I rang each of them to say happy birthday, wish them many happy returns and have a good day etc. Not heard from either of them since. Yesterday had a text from DM, and today a missed call from DF. I don't know what the cause of the silence was, and can't think of anything I've done wrong. AIBU to not want to talk to either of them yet, because I'm hurt even though I might find out what I'm supposed to have done?
So as not to drip feed, DM has serious form for being a cold fish but DF is usually ok.

Is it unusual for them not to be in touch for 5 weeks?

Do they live together? If they do surely a birthday text from DM is from both of them?
