Sorry - posting here for traffic after no response in beauty.

Have had a Boots so smooth (awesome machine) that's just given up the ghost.... Looking to replace, could upgrade to the newer version or change to a different one altogether? The tech seems to have moved on since got my first one 3 years ago.

Does anyone have any experience of using them and which would you recommend? I use it monthly on arms and chin (!) would like to do legs and bikini line too but was too time consuming with my old machine.

I have a Philips Lumea Precision plus. It's quite expensive but amazing. I've done 4 sessions so far, it says you should start seeing results after 5. I started seeing them after first use.
I do my bikini line, legs and arm pits. I have PCOS and I am extremely hairy. I used to shave and have stubble an hour or so later, needed to shave everyday. At the moment I'm shaving my legs every 4-5 days, my arm pits are taking a little longer so shaving every other day but my bikini line is pretty much hair free now.
I did want it for my chin also but my chin hairs are blonde and it doesn't work on light hairs so that was a bit annoying and as you say you need it for your chin it may not be a good option for you. Unless your hairs are dark in which case it would be perfect!

Thanks one.

I did see that the illuminage elos treats even blonde hair so that might be worth a go (mix of fair and a few horrid dark ones here) it's got loads of shots too. Such a big decision, so much money! My smoothskin machine was actually quite life changing for me, I'd had salon laser treatments but the bleeders kept growing back! Just to be able to manage it at home is a godsend.

Will have a look at the lumea.
