OK so asking for your help...what do I do??
We live in a block of 8 Apartments with communal Parking. A car has parked behind me meaning it has blocked my access to the gate to get off the driveway. I came out of my apartment at 1245 with my 15 month old to go shopping and have just given up knocking on the neighbours doors to establish who the car belongs to. One neighbour advised where owner of car would be so have knocked on that door but no one has answered, meanwhile myself and 15 month old are soaked through and unable to go out.
I have left a note asking them not to park there and that I need access to vehicle at all times (am also pregnant so would not have been a good situation had I needed to get to hospital!!) I'm guessing there is nothing else I can do from a legal standpoint with regards to getting the car moved? People are so inconsiderate, I am fuming!!!

If you are completely blocked in you can call police on 101 and they will make enquiries with the keeper and if unable to find them get the car towed away.

I think the police may be able to help if it's actually blocking access. People are so bloody rude, half my drive has been blocked all weekend by my neighbours twat son in law as God forbid they park 20 yards down the road! Front out the knocking on the door, I once had another neighbour commando roll off her sofa when she saw me walking to her door in the piss down rain because she had parked across my drive, I just belted shite out of the door and asked her if she was ok down there Grin they soon get fed up of the knocking!

The police won't help. Some lovely person has been parked over my drive since at least Saturday (we were away Friday). No need to- masses of parking here. Slightly worried its abandoned- we go away on Tuesday and need to get 1 car off the drive and another 2 on by then. Looks like an old person- maps, a packet of almonds and box files in the car.

You can't get them towed and the police won't do anything- believe me. We had an EU car blocking our drive with the car on it for 3 days last year and the police were very clear that they or us couldn't move it. It was parked on the road albeit across our drive.

Sit in your car with your hand on the horn until they move it.

You can report it to the police, sometimes they do tow it. I've seen two cars towed for this reason. But they'll only do it if there's essentially nothing else on or their in the area. So 9/10 they won't but it's worth a try and stressing you and your daughter can't leave the house.

Get a few of your biggest strongest mates and move the car to a really awkward place to get out of. Grin

So have they moved the car yet?

Maybe the car alarm is on, bounce on it and see if it goes off, then repeat till they come out. Or go back to their flat and hold your finger on the door bell till they get fed up of listening to it. Ring and bang the door, over and over.
Then let your hormones take over and rip the idiot a new one.
