AIBU?

To throw neighbours bins in the bin

Someone from next door has decided to put their bins in my front garden
There is no cut of fence but it's obvious where my house starts and there's ends
I cannot believe the cheek of it
So their garden looks all nice but mine looks like a bin storage

Aibu to just steal their bins and throw them in the skip?

Could it have been the dustmen ? Was it rubbish collection today ?

I ask as one of my bins went missing for a week (Door number on side too), then it appears the following week on pavement .. Once or twice recycling bin left by a neighbours.. Could be the binmen OP.

Just move them back and see if they get the message. If they don't put your bins in their garden.

Why haven't you shoved them back already?

Just move their bins onto their garden. If they say anything tell them you charge £50 per bin of they want to store them in your garden.

Move them back.
If it happens again, say something.
If it happens after that, put a fence up.

Move them back. If it happens again, call the council and ask them to remove some surplus bins from your garden

Why would you even think about that before thinking, "I know, I'll ask them not to"? Confused

Just keep putting them back. If they persist start putting them further and further down the street.

Or you can just ask them if they would prefer a boundary fence so both knows what's what?

All this anger over bins. Just move them back.

I remember the shenanigans with the front garden with my neighbour. She wanted it all grass but my side was bushes that attracted bees which I like but the bees scared her grandkids and she wanted all grass.

In the end i gave her my side on the understanding that she was never to bother me about it and she still tried to get me out there to pull the bushes up.

The many threads on the internet added to that tells me that people are well weird about shared gardens and just do what they want.

Just give them a prod next time you see them.. You don't have to fall out.

We had this problem.
When we moved in there were three very mánky bins outside our house.
We threw them away as we thought they belonged to the previous owners.
Along comes next door asking where his bin is. My initial response was 'How should I know?'
Dh offered to replace the bin which I thought was a bad idea, but at least he keeps it in his own garden now.

Use them. Fill them to the brim with anything you have that needs chucking. Have a good clear out. They'll think twice if they have to go a month between bin collections :o

I like that idea. Thank them for the bins and say you're going to have a massive clear out with a big grin.

No falling out and I doubt they will be there the next day.

But really they're just trying their luck.. Just shod them back and it'll probably be the end of the matter.

Yep, fill them with your stuff and then put them back.

If you get rid of them they will use your bins.

I had neighbours in a rented property who piled up black bags in the front garden as there was only one bin in an illegally multiple let house, the letting agent was notified due to rats, so they began using my bin but not putting it out to be emptied.

I removed their bags, put them on their path and took my bin inside and out the back.
