AIBU to be upset and a bit P'd off

After a horrid few months of breaking up with DH, I need some fun. Tomorrow I'm going on a girls night out, the train is booked, the hotel is booked, I've chosen a dress and I really need this night out. I never get to do things like this. So AIBU to be so so upset and a bit pissed off that my beautiful DD has just come into my room and been sick on my bed? She's never just sick, every time she's been sick in the past, a bug has gone round the house. She's nearly always sick first then within 24 hours we've all got it :(

I was so looking forward to my girls weekend too Sad

Can't DDs father look after his child?

Her dad should be capable of looking after her. Be scrupulous about hygiene. No guarantee you'll ger it. How annoying though.

Who was looking after her? Can't they still do it?

Fingers crossed for you OP. I split from my DH a few months ago so know how you feel about nights out.

This happened to me and my partner two weeks ago. Anniversary- Hotel booked, the night before dd started being sick. We were vigilant- half hourly hand washing, bleaching after each instance, throwing away exposed toothbrushes in the bathroom where she was Ill, and we were fine.

Dd2 has since got it ( abd recover)and once more vigilance was key but once more neither of us are sick.

It can be done. Good luck.

It's just typical isn't it?! I swear we have more than our fair share of days like that in our house. I hope your dd continues to feel better and I really hope you don't catch it. Have a great time out.

Years ago, my parents came down (they live 500 miles away) for a week, and DH and I booked a night away for our wedding anniversary.
(DS was IIRC 4yo, DD was 18 months)

As we left, I cuddled DS, he threw up down my back and had explosive runs Sad. Quick shower and change for me, bath for DS.
My Dad pushed us out the door when I suggested staying home.
Mum and Dad looked after them, DS just snoozed all day.

DH and I had our meal and our night away.
I threw up and had D&V all night Hmm

Hope you rally and manage to have your night out .

Aww your poor little one. Poor you. I know there is never s right time to get sick but children always get sick at the wrong time.
It might just be a one off, mind. fx You know yourself sometimes you after vomiting you often feel fine then don't you.

I too feel your pain. I left my DH in September last year and was so looking forward to my first night out. I went totally stupid with drink though as I was so excited about a night out and ended up passing out in a pub....my night out finished at 10 lol.

Hope DD is ok, enjoy your weekend :)
