To send DH back to the shop?

i don't feel well today very flu-y and have been running round doing errands all day. Got in and DH offered to go to the shop to get me what I wanted, a smoothie and some actimel. He went to shop and my phone was on silent I was laid out on sofa. 5 mins ago I saw I had a text and missed call saying he couldn't remember what I wanted, I reminded him. A few mins later he arrived without the actimel in a grump because I hadn't answered my phone. I had asked him to get two things because I don't feel well and he couldn't remember that! He begrudgingly said he'd go back out but I had to say no. I really want it though! If I go myself I'll look like I'm making a point. Should I go/ ask him to go back? Just find it annoying he can't remember two things from a shop to help me out.

Why did you say no? If he offered to go to get you what you wanted, then why didn't you just let him go back...?

Ok I've sent him back to the shop. I'm a terrible person.

You're not - you're ill and he wants to make you feel better! Sure he'll remember what you need this time...Grin

I'd just say to him, "I'm sorry [DP's name] but would you mind popping back to get me those things please? I really need them but I just don't feel well enough to go myself". Nothing unreasonable about that.
Hope you feel better soon!

DH does things like this, drives me potty with his inability to remember a list of three things from the supermarket!
Ywbu not to let him go back a second time but he was in the wrong to start with!
Feel better soon.

Thanks all. I felt very demanding but I suppose there's no way he'll learn otherwise and how hard is it to remember two things!

I sent my DH to the shops to get some Activia as I've got a really painful tummy since giving birth. He came back with two bags of stuff and no yoghurts. He's been great generally so I gave him some slack. 2 days later he went again. Again returns with no yoghurts. How difficult is it to remember 1 never mind 2?? YANBU I wish I'd sent him out a third time.
