Would you think I was unreasonable if my DD (13) gave your DD (14) a box set for her birthday?

I live abroad where age limits are totally pointless (ie, 50 shades is a 13) and I have never watched this so haven't a clue. Looks like awful trash to me but I don't think my alternative suggestions of Anne of Green Gables would go down very well Sad
Suitable or not?

Yes suitable. My 15 yo loves it- I have watched a few episodes, not overly sexual or violent. Yes trash but good teenage viewing.

They are awful trash. And a (very) guilty pleasure of mine: I binge-watch while running on a treadmill. They can be a bit creepy but mostly in an atmospheric way rather than anything explicit. Some of the themes wouldn't be suitable for younger children, but unless the 14 year old is very sheltered, there will be nothing to traumatise her here. In fact, she'd be pretty much target audience, I'd say.

It's amazing trash.
It's on Netflix here so might be worth checking if they have it/it's on over there?

It's amazing, perfect for night feeds...
