To ask an urgent plumbing question on here?

In the hope it will get done traffic?

We are installing a counter-top dishwasher in an attempt to save my sanity. We're going to use a self-cutting tap thing, which as I understand it needs to go on the cold water supply to the kitchen sink. Could we put it on the cold water supply to the boiler instead as position-wise that would make more sense? Or is that not ok?

I'm no plumber, but I would say not. Leave anything to do with the boiler alone.

Am I wrong?

That seems like a good general principle to live by Solo...

Well, the thing is, when your washing machine is filling up and you turn on the cold water tap in the kitchen, it interrupts the fill. The dishwasher must fill in the same way, so would possibly be interrupting something with the boiler. I wouldn't do it personally.
