Hideous night with period, despite numerous long and complicated trips to the loo I have just had to change the bed.

On my way back up to bed, I had to pass through the kitchen and have now polished off 2 slices of left over pizza from ds tea last night, smothered with the left over curry from my tea. May also be looking at the possibility of a big slice of the banoffee cheesecake that I made last night that is topped off with a thick layer of salted caramel. Am drawing the line at pouring myself a gin!

So, aibu?

No. Luckily doesnt happen too often to me but live in dreed if at someones else on first night of af. Worse for me for needing to change the bed at mil. Luckily i have a fab mil. My dh quietly got my mil when fil was in bathroom. ( no idea where sheets were or else dh and i would have remade bed). She quiety and quickly got new sheets and we quickly made the bed. Mil told me about the time it happened to her whilst at a hotel whilst newly married. Whole thing was never mentioned again. You eat what you want today after your night. Gin at 4pm tonight?

Eater's Remorse pales in comparison to hellish period pain.

It's not really that much food, so YANBU, but YABU for the 'nomm nomm' thing. That makes me wince, but the gin/salted caramel idea doesn't, not one bit Grin

YABU solely on the basis that you say 'nom'.

The cheesecake does sound good though!

What am I saying? I just sanctioned gin at 10.00 a.m.? Ignore me. I won't be offering any further drinks-based this morning.

YABU for the thread title and for bumping after 5 mins.

YANBU to eat pizza at 7:30am.

In the bath. Hellish period pain. Would like gin.

Eat and drink whatever you like, whenever you like. But saying 'omm nom nomm' is insanely annoying whether accompanied by gin and curried cold pizza or not. Hope the period pain abates.

Ooh I 'leaked' 3rd time I stayed with DP. I was mortified he just shrugged and said 'ah well sheets needed a change anyway' think that's when I fell in love with him.

Of course YANBU, it's a logical response to the situation.

On a side note, I find tranexamic acid (on rx) works a treat for reducing excessive bleeding without resorting to a hormone pill.

Thanks all - kahlo tried tranexamic acid with no improvement sadly. Apologies for the omm nom nom I had no idea it was such a terrible expression. I have a pinterest board with this name, will go and change it immediately. Should I change it to 'hubby' 'hugs' or 'naice ham'? Grin

Totally overdosed on the banoffee cheesecake later in the day and woke up with a 'cheesecake' hangover bh monday!

Does it make some of you feel better to pull up OP about the expression she used rather than the actual content of her post?.

Pootles2010 · 26/05/2015 13:42

Sorry Still, wasn't going to comment but its a horrid phrase - it makes me shudder. Nearly as bad as listening to colleague eating his apple behind me.

tbh with a thread title like that, the post content was irrelevant. Grin

Yeah, it's a phrase I wouldn't use myself but OP's is feeling like shite and posted a 'light hearted' thread and is then mocked.

Nice.

Notlng after I started going out with DH my period started in themiddle of the night and he woke up covered in blood. He was lovely about it. Same thing happened at MILs not long after we were married. She was lovely about it too.

Eat the cheesecake, have a big gin and an afternoon nap. Grin
