Stayed in this morning to wait for a delivery. Meant to be helping on the pheasant shoot. The delivery was supposed to come by around lunchtime and then I told dh I'd see him up the farm.

The delivery has just arrived. However it is raining, I can't find my waterproofs and I've bust the zip on my wellies so one might leak. I really CBA to go. I'm sure they'll manage without me, I wouldn't be doing anything very important, just making up the numbers.

I'm going to stay in the warm, drink coffe and MN.

You could always scuff up the box a bit to make the story seem more credible and hide the coffee mugs and biscuit crumbs

Yes. Cover the box in bits of leaf/twig, snow, lava and dragon's poo to make it look a bit more like a Yodel delivery.

Then tell him you had to rescue it from a neighbouring pond.

Dragons poo!

It stopped raining so I wandered down for the last couple of drives. They only needed lots of people for the last one really. I showed up and looked as though I'd made a bit of effort so dh was none the wiser.

It did give me time to surf t'internet and eat the last of the christmas chocs so all in all it was a good day.
