AIBU?

To fast forward the rugby whenever DH leaves the room?

I suspect I am. Just arrived home from work. DH is watching a rugby game he recorded. I want to watch eastenders don't judge me

So when DH pops out of the room, I fastforward it a bit. Well a lot.

I know IABU actually and I feel like an evil genius.

YANBU, this is inspired! Grin

He'll notice, surely? My DH would spot that instantly.

Anyway, YABU because I'd much rather watch rugby than EastEnders.

Sneaky. I like it.

I would also rather watch rugby, but I still admire the sneakiness and think that if he doesn't notice then he didn't care that much anyway.

He questioned it at one point. So I just barefaced lied.

Sounds like a great idea. I might try it one day if I get the chance.

Wouldn't do it for East Enders though. Think I'd rather see a good old Rugby scrum - all those strapping blokes with their arses in the air. Much more my cup of tea really. Wink

Sounds like a plan to me... And I'm a rugger fan! There can be a lot of dead time during a match.
As long as you stop fast forwarding if a punch up starts something exciting happens, I'd say you're all good...

How would you like it if he fast forwarded Eastenders and lied through his teeth?

Alternatively, invest in another tv.

  1. Why does he keep going out the room ? Confused
  2. Yup, YABU to want to watch Eastenders - never seen a more miserable programme
  3. Yup, YABU to FFwd something someone else is watching

4.Yup, YABU to lie about it.

Wish I'd thought to do the same. Although if the rugby is on, he doesn't leave the sofa, let alone the room..

Shock
We watched the rugby earlier and I kept getting DP to pause and rewind bits so we could rant about the "bloody knock on that the stupid ref missed!" Etc. I think YABU. But I love my rugby. Grin
Not just cos of Brad Barritt's buns either!

I suspect this would only work if he was a bit tipsy.

You prefer to watch miserable Walford instead of godlike, ripply muscled rugby players? YABU.

Grin Brilliant.

I wish I could get away with this when DH watches Friends reruns. I hate the show but still know the entire story line in detail. Angry

If he's constantly leaving the room and not noticing, he's not really all that invested in it though is he?
