AIBU to think this is icky behaviour and people should leave the table if they want to have a good nose blow?

YABU. Alternatively they could let their dripping snot drop onto the plates of food. I don't have a problem with anyone blowing their nose, providing they use a handkerchief.

Seriously? Have never heard of people leaving the table just to blow their nose.

Very poor manners to blow your nose at the table.

My dad does it. Makes me heave/cringe.

I don't mean wiping their nose. I mean big noisy clear outs. Eugh.

Not a problem. That would mean people with colds could hardly sit at the table. Better to blow noses than have dripping snot.

Totally gross for a few seconds but infinitely better than little sniffles throughout the whole meal!

You should definitely leave the table to blow your nose.

YABU I absolutely hate sniffers so would much rather that someone discreetly blow their nose be it at the table or not

YANBU personally I think if you need to blow your nose you leave the table and room and do it elsewhere, just as you wouldn't sit there sniffing. It makes me hip and totally puts me off my food.

Gip not hip!

Thanks for the replies. It just really turns me off my food when someone sits their noisily blowing the contents of their nose into a handkerchief while other people around the table are trying to eat. Sad
