AIBU?

Don't talk to me when I'm eating chocolate!

I don't often eat chocolate but when I do I go a bit odd. I can't stand doing it in front of anyone and must inhale an entire large bar as quickly as possible.

DH just came in while I was mid-scoff and I was SO irritated. He ruined my stride. Angry

Am I being unreasonable to think this is normal?

It does sound a bit odd, yes.

Never heard of doing it that way.

I tend to feel guilty, have a square, sit down, get up, have on more square and repeat until I feel so guilty I can't carry on...I've never eaten a whole large bar. Or a whole packet of biscuits.

Not really, but there's nothing wrong with having your own preferences..!

I was eating a bag on Mini Eggs earlier (little) bag and my house bunny wrestled the bag from me and the buggers went everywhere.

I was irritated too.

Angry

No your not odd, you are taking great pleasure in savouring the flavour and someone asks you a question and yes, its ruined! You have to hurry up and finish and swallow and yes it ruins it.

I think you've been watching too many chocolate adverts OP Grin

It's always a woman eating it alone, storing it in secret and having a friggin orgasm over it.

I hate being interrupted while eating anything, I need silence and privacy to focus on my food. I can only enjoy company and conversation during a meal when I'm eating out. I get exactly where your coming from, yadnbuSmile

You'll be slouching on the couch, licking yoghurt off your fingers next, whilst wearing an evening gown Grin

Nah weird. I keep mine in the fridge, take a square or two and leave it. I sometimes then put the square down on the table or like and forget to eat it

You are totally right! I can't stand it when we're out for dinner and DH asks me about 6 times how my food is...I'm just thinking let me get on and enjoy it. I only eat chocolate smuggled into my room and in peace, otherwise I may have to share.

I hate being interrupted whilst eating, like a cat, anyone trying to hug me or other icky stuff gets short shrift from me. Like, can't it wait, I'm eating?!?!

I don't sneak into the kitchen, put some mini eggs in my mouth, go back in the lounge and tell the kids I'm eating sprouts Wink

the thing that really annoys me is when i pick up a book i read a line and husband asks me a question next line another interruption etc etc so ive began doing it to him he is getting furious now but STILL doesn't realise im doing it because he does it to me...pretty sure im going to have to explain it to him

YANBU. I don't really like eating anything in front of people but chocolate would definitely be a no no.

I think slooowwwwly is better than inhaling though
