Not at all!! I also am envious! Its so lovely to see places like this because it gives us hope that there is such places in the world. I often feel like the cars and mobiles and internet is just to much and I would love to disepear into Jane Austen land. This gives me hope that maybe one day I could go hear too!

And perfect looking twins... But the designer did a crappy job. That modern kitchen was horrible for the house.

I would love that house - I'd replace the kitchen stools though & would wear proper boots & a riding hat! I'd adore to be a Countess too.

No thank you, that house has been designed for the over fifties and I've got another five years to go.

Yes, the 'design' is surprisingly nasty, while also being quite stuffy - what a shame to do that to a lovely, gracious old house.

And there's something terribly naff about hiring a designer to make your house look 'eclectic' - as the designer says, to look as if you'd collected all kinds of interesting old paintings and bits of furniture by yourself. Its not as if either of them has had to live in a box for their previous lives, with a single caravan holiday on the Welsh coast, so why hire someone to fake you a past of collecting interesting objets?

The outside of the house and the grounds look wonderful, though.

She had 7 rounds of IVF to get her twins so it's not all been plain sailing.
I was at uni with her husband, though only met her a couple of times.

I really like the kitchen, but the other rooms look cluttered and dusty to me...I think I like a more modern, spacious look.

Although I must say, I think houses in the uk have very different trends to here. All the Reno shows I've seen are very separate areas (open plan kitchen/living is more common here) small windows (probably because of heating/cold where we want light) and wallpaper (very uncommon here unless it's an original 1970s home). I watch them saying things like "that's spacious, what?" and "why are there no built in wardrobes, where does everyone keep their clothes?" lol

I like the exterior though, it has character.

Yabu.

I think you should just want your own life.

I don't think articles help anyone. I believe these 'articles' to be annoyingly crass!

Plus, I don't like the bedroom or living room! Wink

I've met her a few times through work and she is lovely!

That makes me hate her far less for her beautiful house Wink

Nice, but she's mad for not wearing a hat on that horse and those withers are going to bruise her bits.

Gorgeous outside but inside is just awful! Nah she can keep it! My house in Hampshire at least looks homely as well as beautiful. Wink

I read an interview with her sister before she sacked off her babies father and started living with someone else and she said that both her and her sister had anxiety problems and suffered with panic attacks. So i don't think she has a perfect life by any means.

One thing I admire about her is she has her own claims to fame, not just riding on the back of famous friends and family.

She's a champion equestrian (as is Jodie Kidd, supermodel) and Jemma is a famous make-up artist.

But can I whinge?
Wear a fecking hat love, you know the risks of a fall from a horse. They are unpredictable creatures.

Rant over.
