AIBU! Dh came home in an absolute state and I had to put him to bed like a child. That's not even the worst thing..... I woke up to him crashing about in the kitchen. I thought he was looking for food but when I got up to check he was having a SIT DOWN PISS on the kitchen chair. Has this happened to anyone or is my dh regressing into a caveman??!

He tried to laugh it off the day after and he has no memory of doing it, I'm absolutely LIVID inside but I haven't said anything else about it. What do I do?? It's been a week and I feel it's too long to punish him.

Advice please?

I need a flat white.... Sigh

I'd love to help you formulate a line of conversation, but I'm too busy weeing myself with laughter.

Although not on the kitchen chair, before anyone accuses me of being the DH.

No, he is not regressing. He was just very, very, very drunk.

You may be making him regress to childhood though, 'punish him?!?", you're his wife, not his mother.

My oh pissed up the wardrobe, vomited in the garden and told his mum it was the cat....all in one night. Long time ago. But yeah I was angry, especially when I had to clean it up and he was comatosed, then he said next day, never asked you to clean it up.....Angry

unacceptable behaviour if you have children in the house. Sorry I don't find it very funny.

I get why you'd be angry...but most people have done something horrendous while blind drunk. I know I have. Be livid, yes, but don't 'punish' your OH for doing something stupid but essentially harmless while pissed.

my mum and aunts were talking one day, and I was eavesdropping ( I was a child at the time) and every one of them had a husband who had peed somewhere he shouldn't. wives underwear drawers were favourite. my dad, apparently, would sleepwalk to the dressing table, open the middle drawer, and relieve himself.
i don't think i'll bring that up when I see him tomorrow...

Jesus, that's not funny, it's somewhere between deeply disturbing and pitiable. He's not becoming a caveman, OP, he sounds as if he has a problem with alcohol if he couldn't get to bed and became incontinent from drink. It might be more amusing in a teenager making a first disastrous experiment with booze, but in a grown man, drinking himself insensible and incontinent it is appalling, and his attempts to minimise it afterwards suggest he's not taking it seriously, either.

No, he is not a 'cave man'. No, he is not 'regressing'.

A one off, or occasional piss-up that leads to pretty stupid behaviour? Yeah, ok. We've all been pissed and stupid on the odd occasion.

OP, is it regular? Does he have form for this type of behaviour? No? Great! He was a drunken twat, tell him so and let it be known his actions were vile.

Yes? Tell us more and you WILL be pointed towards help.

Thanks, glad I'm not he only one. Unfortunately not the first time it's happened. Last new year he decided to give my fur coat (don't worry it's an heirloom not brand new #animalrights) a hosing down after a friends house party.

Can you point me to help now?!

What an arse. Tell him to fuck off and live somewhere else until he can behave like an adult.

Mine did a poo in the bath, then tried to cover it up with a square of loo roll. It ended up looking like it had a little hat on! He is now banned from coming home while drunk...

'Yeah, ok. We've all been pissed and stupid on the odd occasion.'

I certainly have. But have never pissed on furniture, the bed, clothes, etc.

WTF.

Never even heard of anyone doing that till I found MN.

Can't believe anyone would speak to someone who did this, much less continue to date them, have their children, etc. Would be an instant dump from me.

He's not a caveman, OP, he's got a drink problem.

Agree with others. It's disgusting.

We've all been drunk. Christ, I have been so paralytic at times, i have been unable to walk. But I still managed not to piss myself.

Fortunately he hasn't shat anywhere!

I'd say he generally has a pretty healthy attitude to drinking (has the occasional blow out clearly) could it be something else?

I've been researching on the internet and I read something about it could be related to mental health!?!
