AIBU?

to go completely mad at the thought of ANOTHER snow day?

So, yes. I understand that the windchill is -45. I get that. But we had a snow day today and coming so soon after the long Christmas break it is just a lot of togetherness with a very, ahem, lively 6 year old boy who cannot go outside. (And a 7 month old DD but she's pretty calm) But yes, no school Tuesday either.

I just...arrgghh!

Any ideas to keep us busy that don't require going to the shops? We've done a jigsaw, read a bunch, had cocoa, baked muffins, built a pillow fort on the couch...

Make scrap books or picture stories from magazines? Treasure hunt in the house with loads of clues?

You just need some masking tape and lots of cars

Well here's something to make you laugh - school here (SC) is delayed for three hours tomorrow, because the temp is forecast to be 20 degrees. As a former resident of a Plains state, I think it's a tad ridiculous. But anyway, good luck for tomorrow!

Oh my god! I am so right with you!

Here in NoVA, they cancelled school for tomorrow before school has let out this afternoon! It's insane! I just KNOW we're going to wind up with extended days to make up for this time off.

Luckily DS has a couple of friends on our street and we'll get together after lunch.

This coming after two snow days before winter break and another last Friday - when they were only slated to have school Thursday & Friday.

I was confused this afternoon because he was supposed to have a hamburger for lunch but was covered in tomato sauce (he's 5 & an enthusiastic eater!) because they served Friday's lunch today.

I hate to say it but Lego games on the computer have been my go to activity lately.

Yeah we are on a 2 hour delay tomorrow here in Norfolk va... Yet the weather forecast says low of -5c? I wore a teeshirt for the school run this morning as it was 18c... Confusing weather! We love snow days and late starts though. Lie ins! :)

My kids are on another snow day tomorrow, too. I think we're only at -30, though. ;)

Our daughter is going to be devastated when she finds out there's no preschool again tomorrow. We're going to take her to daycare just to get her out of the house. The boys tend to occupy themselves with xbox, ipod, etc.

JanetSnakehole I LOVE your username. I happen to be watching Parks and Rec on Netflix right now. :)

My Dad and Gran and I were talking about you last night! As we were saying my Aunt in Finland has had NO SNOW! And I saw your photo of the wearing hats inside -45 windchill and I had thought it was cold but you were joking Blush as it is just such a mad number! It didn't seem comprehend-able!
