...kind of tough to tell a scruff the great mistake he's making?

RoseRedder Tue 10-Dec-13 02:47:34

I might be making this up but I'm sure I'm not

Adam ANt wore the white stripe as a homage to his grandparent who was native american

I think is kings of the wild frontier song contained the lines

Down below those dandy clothes
Your just a shade to white

I feel beneath the white
There is a redskin suffering
From centuries of taming...

This maybe an urban myth but I could swear I heard him talking about this on something like the tube back in the 80's

SabrinaMulhollandJjones Tue 10-Dec-13 02:22:27

Michael Praed as Robin of Sherwood

I definitely went for the dark, chiselled look didn't I? Funny thing is, dh is nothing like that - much fairer, he looked more like Liam Gallagher when I met him (who I hated confused )

<detracting from Prince Charming banter, but liking late night chat about 80's crushes>

ShylaMcClaus Tue 10-Dec-13 01:42:50

On behalf of Zing I totally agree grin

But seriously (as serious as we can be on such a thread) - I had the same confusion.

<paints an equal sign in red lipstick on cheek>
<snogs self>

TotallyBursar Tue 10-Dec-13 01:34:08

Oh <happy sigh> I was at a rather confused point of not only wanting to do norty things with him, I also wanted to be him a bit.
I think I am meant to be a post-punk/new waver that looks like a new romantic... in my soul like.

Sadly, I suffer from a lack of satin under crackers and frilly shirts.

RoseRedder Tue 10-Dec-13 01:11:46

bit of sun cream is much more effective (and whiter)

ShylaMcClaus Tue 10-Dec-13 01:07:21

The Dandy Highwayman look is taking off on Style and Beauty!

Touche Éclat swept across the face and the nose in is going to be all the rage.

RoseRedder Tue 10-Dec-13 01:04:27

don't drink don't smoke what do you do

RoseRedder Tue 10-Dec-13 01:03:27

I think I still have the instructions some where, it was typing instructions for something like 55 lines

so first line would go something like space space X 20 eegefg space x30

I'll try and find them over the weekend.

I don't know who Michael Praed is (off to google)

SabrinaMulhollandJjones Tue 10-Dec-13 01:01:01

Ugh, never (sorry Kevin)

VanitasVanitatum Tue 10-Dec-13 01:00:38

Stop being handsome, showing me you're dandy

That's how I heard it anyway..

RoseRedder Tue 10-Dec-13 00:59:56

not Kevin Costner?

SabrinaMulhollandJjones Tue 10-Dec-13 00:56:53

Intrigued about the 'typing him out' though - I so would have done that grin

SabrinaMulhollandJjones Tue 10-Dec-13 00:55:59

I moved onto Morrissey. With a short-but-intense crush on Robin of Sherwood in between. (Michael Praed blush )

RoseRedder Tue 10-Dec-13 00:51:29

I typed him out once

It was a typewriter code in Jackie magazine

and when you typed it, it did actually make his face

My first crush too

Then I moved onto Suggs

ShylaMcClaus Tue 10-Dec-13 00:39:16

Mine too. So pretty.

ShylaMcClaus Tue 10-Dec-13 00:38:20

All together now:

"Don't you ever - don't you ev-ev-er"

SabrinaMulhollandJjones Tue 10-Dec-13 00:37:43

God, he was beautiful, wasn't he? He was my first ever crush - I must have been about 10.

RoseRedder Tue 10-Dec-13 00:35:27

I'll join in with the prince charming dance

ridicule is nothing to be scared of

ShylaMcClaus Tue 10-Dec-13 00:21:29

<dances with FastWindow>

RoseRedder Tue 10-Dec-13 00:21:04

I used to sing

'Even though you have to go your conkers will be mine, dadiddly dum dum

dadiddly dum dum

dadiddly dum

FastWindow Tue 10-Dec-13 00:10:04

<feels even dimmer> that's prince charming

<goes back to 1982 and listens harder next time>

FastWindow Tue 10-Dec-13 00:08:17

Oh <feels a bit dim> and I can do the dance and everything.

SabrinaMulhollandJjones Tue 10-Dec-13 00:07:01

Try and use a mirror...

ShylaMcClaus Tue 10-Dec-13 00:01:21

Who on earth would ridicule silk and leather, or a feather?

Caff2 Mon 09-Dec-13 23:50:20

Well. Ridicule is nothing to be scared of, after all.
