Ok, so my two beautiful baby boys are undeniably worth it but seriously im not even 30 and my body is wrecked already!ive always had pretty low confidence in my appearance but i look back at pics taken about five years ago and wonder what i was moaning about. I was a size 10 with reasonably perky boobs, shiny hair and no dark circles (ruddy great haversacks) under my eyes. Fast forward and i look older than my mother with stretch marks, saggy boobs and an extra 2.5 stone that wont flaming shift. Mirrors should be banned!aibu to want to slap the old me about a bit and say enjoy it while it lasts you stupid woman!

Totally hear ya!

YANBU - I've finally gotten down to one (Droopy) size bigger than my pre DC body and I'm expecting again.

While I wouldn't dream of giving up DC for my body back, there are times when I do wish I could have both

Can I raise the topic of tummy bums?

I finally lost my baby weight (and lots of other weight that mysteriously turned up over the years) but I have been left with what can only be described as a butt crack + cheeks affair on my tummy.

Does anyone know if this ever goes away?

My stomach looks like a wrinkly deflated balloon (from pregnancy and losing 9stone in the lat 2 years) it's awful but tomorrow I'm getting a big pretty rose tattooed over it, I know it'll still look like a deflated balloon but at least ill have something I want on it haha. It's taken me a while to come to terms with how messed up my body looks now but I'm finally there. Only dh sees me without clothes and he isn't fussed about the stretch marks and loose skin so to me the rest doesn't really matter. But it did take me a LONG time to be on with it.
I would like to slap the 15 year old me for thinking I was fat haha

8 stone not 9 stone!! Stupid tiny iPhone buttons!

OHforDUCKScake Tue 14-May-13 13:05:55

I agree!!!

I was so slim before I had babies. A long time before I nad babies I was thin and it was unpleasant. I was recently tagged in a pic from 10 years ago anc it wasnt pretty. But 6 years ago, pre babies Id got it right!

Now im 1.5 stone over that and its not going anywhere.

OHforDUCKScake Tue 14-May-13 13:07:43

ICBINEG is the crack vertical?

bamboobutton Tue 14-May-13 13:19:12

God yes!

I was looking at old photos the other day and can't believe i used to think i was fat, i was a size 10 and thought i was fat!

<looks at size 16 on 5'4" frame> now I'm fat.

ICBINEG Tue 14-May-13 13:31:20

yes there is a vertical crack with two cheeks underneath...

bishboschone Tue 14-May-13 13:34:48

Me too.. I'm a size 8-10 but body is sooo squishy and I have a very crepey tummy. It's annoying because I have great abs underneath. Boob were amazing when I was young , now just meh hmm.... Hey ho.

Wishwehadgoneabroad Tue 14-May-13 13:36:28

I hear you

<looks at size 14 body post baby and wishes for old size 10 body back pronto>

ICBINEG Tue 14-May-13 13:37:17

bish how long have you been in this state?

Also why is the preggers stretching apparently less likely to re-tension than the eating fantastic amounts of cake stretching?

Peevish Tue 14-May-13 13:41:46

Don't start me on .Caesarean overhang. Can I just add I want my pre baby HAIR back? I had a lot fall out when my son was about four months old, and nine months later, I have short, curly regrowth around my temples, which looks stupid. I was looking at some photos of when I was about 42 weeks pregnant, and I don't see the bump, I just see the glossy, thick hair!

Fairylea Tue 14-May-13 13:43:33

Ice I have the same thing. Doctors have told me it is tummy muscle separation and go on about exercises. I have done everything and anything and it never ever goes.

I know where everyone on this thread is coming from!

bouncychair Tue 14-May-13 13:51:00

So glad I'm not the only one! I only had DC2 6 months ago by c-section and still breastfeeding so finding it just too difficult to diet.

But my whole arse/hip area just seems to have spread - I can't see it ever going back!

TerrysNo2 Tue 14-May-13 13:51:52

In 5 years time you will probably wonder why you didn't appreciate the current you! grin

iccarus Tue 14-May-13 14:17:45

Oh crumbs terry, don't say that. Ive already thought things will get worse if we decide to go ahead for number 3. Bouncychair are you finding the weight hard to shift despite breastfeeding? Breastfeeding helped the weight drop off with ds1 but ds2 is 4 months now and if anything weight seems to be creeping further up.Garr!

I had a lovely belly button. Now I have a ginormous over stretched crater.

Wishwehadgoneabroad Tue 14-May-13 14:22:07

Dye My belly button did that. It's back to normal now though. Give it time maybe?

DyeInTheEar Tue 14-May-13 14:23:47

Really? Dare I dream? I've had 3 . Thought I'd passed the tipping point [sob]

KellyElly Tue 14-May-13 14:24:30

You never appreciate what you've got when you have it. Human nature grin. The dark shadows under the eyes are what really gets me. they never go no matter how much bloody sleep I get. Someone needs to invent a miracle eye cream!

OHforDUCKScake Tue 14-May-13 14:25:50

ICBNG might you have separated stomach muscles from pregnancy?

loofet Tue 14-May-13 14:28:09

Yes!! Totally with you... Before DC I had a perfect hourglass figure with perky DD's. I always wanted those horrible stick thin legs that look like they're going to snap for some unknown reason so I was always going 'on a diet' when in reality my body was perfect for my height and just really suited me.

Fast forward to now after 3 large babies I have 3 stone i'm really struggling to shift (lost 2 this year but the other 3 i'm really struggling with), saggy FF boobs, stretch marks galore and a saggy tummy. I hate my body now, I wish wish wish I hadn't ever put my pre-baby body down sad Doubt it will come back now...
