oh you sweetie, I'm sending you a big a hug!

I was 4months pg with DS3 and went to a wedding in Germany, so stayed in a hotel. I was very ill with a throat infection, had those "rolling" coughs when you think you'll suffocate as you can't breathe...familiar?
in the morning I was about to have a shower when I had a coughing fit and literally pissed myself all over the bathroom rug.

having had all my lovely children I still can't cough, sneeze, blow my nose, laugh without crossing my legs to avoid an accident and just yesterday I shouted so hard at my eldest that - well I had to have shower.

I hope this cheers you up!

and yes keep moaning

also, take echinacea drops or tablets it will ease your symptoms, plus take a good multivitamin and fish oils to boost your immune system and general health.
if you had to take antibiotics acidophilus capsules will help restore the "friendly" bacteria that got wiped out.

thank you amazingmum, that's very kind words and your story made me smile - it shouldn't coz it's much worse than what I'm going through! Thank you!

Moan away. I suffered from week 5 - 10 with flu, then cold, then sinus infection, then a chesty cough (which I still have) accompanied by severe morning sickness and it was freezing and snowing the whole flipping time I was ill. Being ill and pregnant is shit.

I hoped it would make you smile! Grin

another thing I found useful when I had a chest infection (pg with DS4) is to have a bath as hot as you can bear with Olbas Bath then go straight to bed and wrap up well. it was a life saver, reduced my stuffy nose and headache and eased the coughing slightly.

oh and a practical thing is to wear some pads in ya knickers especially when out and about so if you do have an accident at least you won't have to be embarrassed!

You have my sympathy, I coughed through two pregnancies and it was horrid, I spent a fortune on Tena pads and my pelvic floor is ruined.

Oh, but think of the ickle puking pooing non-sleeping cutesy bubba you'll have!
