For wanting a balanced view?

At dd's school they had a visitor last week for a PSHE lesson. He was from Animal Aid and from the sounds of it, he gave very militant views about how all animal testing is wrong etc.

I'm all for dd being given facts about animal testing but I would have liked an opposing view, for example someone who works in medical research to explain why sometimes testing on animals is necessary.

This is Year 7 BTW.

AIBU?

Go for it. Tell your child the other side.

Or are you expecting the school to always bring in contrasting speakers?

Maybe the school will get someone in from a charity or medical company to speak to the class.

Depends on the context.

How was the talk introduced ?
