The cynic in me (just joking) thinks that all the DM threads are started by people who work in their circulation department.

Why else would some people. regularly trawl the pages of DM. and then post on MN links to the offending article, inviting people to read the article. and then come back to share their disgust.

If the DM offends you so much then stop reading the bloody thing and stop posting links to it. Yes, it is that simple

YANBU

I actually like reading it online but only the sleb gossip bits along the side. If I want news I refer to the BBC website.

I think the high number of links here is caused by Hate reading as a guilty pleasure.

GOMI has made an entire community out of the fun of Hate reading so it's not like the phenomon of reading something that make you shout at the screen or chunter is all that uncommon.

Up to about 20 years ago I was a DM reader. The Sun & friends were all about tits and bingo while the Times & friends were just too heavy a read for a 30 min Tube ride. The DM was a reasonable compromise.

After a while the constant stream of anti immigrants stories got a bit irritating. I also noticed that they always included how much someone earned and how much their house cost.

Like - Mr X, a £40k pa sales manager was murdered by his wife at their £500k home.

Anyway, I stopped reading it long ago.
