lovely long walk in the forest. Lovely sunshine and new greeny things unfurling.

Until SmallDog rolled in something unspeakable. He still stinks despite being bathed and doused in tea tree snd frankinsence.

The the DDs are being very silly. It's nice to see them actually smiling and speaking to each other but it's like they've been posessed by something. I had to give them The Look in church.

And then it took me 10 minutes to get them in the car.

And now they are giggling upstairs and I can't bring myself to see what they are up to.

They are 14 and 16 ffs. Years not months!

Summut in the air?

"I had to give them The Look in church"

This is a regular occurrence for us, although ours are a bit younger I suppose. Grin

Mortimer our wee tortoise knows Spring is in the air, he is getting very athletic - I always laughed at Tiddles on Peppa Pig, climbing up trees, and sneered and said it was impossible, but Mortimer can get right to the top of his 18 inch high enclosure in about two seconds flat, and then headbutts the top strake to let us know he wants out in the garden Right Now Grin He rules the house with a Shell of Iron, but luckily DD is his devoted minion.

Well, my lawn guy called to book him starting again in about 3 weeks, so yup, spring is in the air.

Surely a good thing?

Wash the dog.

No spring in the air here in Toronto yet...well, I guess there is some faint warmth in the sun that has not been there but our garden is still covered in snow from last week's snow storm and, alarmingly, the mid-term break in March is referred to as mid-winter break rather than spring break...
Having said that, we did have over 20C in March last year so hopefully we will have some warmth in our bones in the not too distant future.

Dog has been bathed. Still stinks despite liberal application of essential oils.

Maybe it is an early sukebind bloom? I should check the woodshed....

Wash the dog in ketchup before swilling and washing in shampoo. Seems to get rid of the fox poo smell. And if not, at least you have a hotdog! Grin

Ketchup. Will make DH try.

How ironic for a stinky sausage dog.

In the US they use tomato juice to get rid of skunk smell when a dog gets squirted.

Spring is in the air.
I noticed the Magnolia trees getting leaves and just the promise of flowers.
My clematis getting leaves.
And I didn't have to put my guinea-pigs heater on today.
