To be honest they have been really smart with branding and marketing, and managed to escape the lethal SYCO contract that bleeds all the money out of artists. They have done really well, fair play to them.

I don't personally like them but am impressed they escaped evil cowell.

I have no idea how hard they work but I should imagine these things are never quite the walk in the park us plebs would think

Its not like they just rocked up to an x factor audition and then hit the big time. They have all individually and as a group slogged hard to just get to the audition. The xfactor was just the platform that rocketed them to the big time.
