Did anyone watch the channel 4 news today? I did. This is one of the stories.

I agree with this news story and i was looking forward to listening about it (sad i know). I'm working class and i come from a poor working class family. Non of us have gone into further education due to cost etc.. My younger brother how ever might have a chance so i thought i'd watch.
Only for some guest to use her time on the program to discuss black students and the problems they go through. Fair enough, i completely understand coming from a very multicultural family.
I thought she was so rude!
Abu for being miffed that she used the show for her own groups issues?

Not sure if YABU, I didn't see the programme. But yes, it does sound like she condo have been being unreasonable. Universities shouldn't be targeting anyone except people that could get good and worthwhile degrees, and that should be across all groups.

Personally i think the ones who work the hardest and get good grades should be the ones who get the top places in uni. Colour of skin, back ground and whatever shouldn't even come into it. Crazy world we live in.
