AIBU?

To think that Christmas appears to be an excuse to become an ungrateful rude bastard?

Popped into Sainsburys for some bits before we have to leave. I waited for about 10 people to pass (you know, when everyone is just standing around looking like morons...) and only 1 said thank you!
What is it with this time of year that makes people unable to have manners?
Just an observation, but they all seem to be elderly people too. It makes me so stabby when I feel like I am the only person that has the ability to be polite!

YANBU. A woman queue jumped yesterday and bashed me with her basket as she did it. It was so packed though and I am always nervous of saying anything in case it kicks off. I had a bloody good tut though.

Although I was heartened by a politeness battle with an elderly gentlemen yesterday, "After you!" "No, no after you!" "I insist!" "Well let me get the door for you then!". I walked away smiling and full of Christmas cheer.

This reminds me of the time I was in a queue in M&S and a woman standing in the queue behind another woman took the turkey out of her basket.... oooft! almost started a riot in the shop. People are ona mission so become rude.

I however, am not one of these chumps... Merry Christmas! Wine

Nope, I've been commenting that people have been more polite driving than normal. I keep getting thanked.

Xmas Smile
