AIBU?

to wonder why my peas are sparking

Microwaved some mixed veg: peas, carrots, broccoli & cauliflower for dinner and the odd pea was giving orange/white sparks in the microwave. They were from Tesco if that's relevant. The same thing happened when I microwaved some from Iceland a few weeks ago.
Microwave is fairly new, under 2 years, and this does not happen with anything else.
Is there something in the production line I should know about. Slightly apprehensive as I sometimes use these for my baby for dinner for speed. I'm know wondering if there is minute scrapings from the machines or something contaminating?

Something to do with the minerals apparently...

here might damage your microwave.

thank you so much silver charm. That's so helpful and so quick. I guess steaming them is the way forward! Thanks again.
