AIBU?

to ask about tax credits on here?

Just know AIBU is the busiest area on MN.

Totally totally confused!

I left a full time job after my maternity leave finished due to hours/long commute. I've been looking for part time work.

I have a chance of working 12 hours a week (perfect for childcare) but wondered if I'm entitled to working tax credits?

I have no idea about if I am/have the right to claim etc.

DH works full time.

Does anyone have any advice?

Tax Credits Calculator

This will give you an idea of what your are entitled to.

Bear in mind that whatever amount your are given at the end, that is to cover the period between today and the end of the tax year (4th April).

I can't link from my phone but I had a similar thread in Employment Issues a few days ago and rockchick explained it really well if you can find it. The title was something like 'flexible working refused, can't possibly work full time, benefits help'
