To leave Cbeebies on?

Ds aged 2, has been up for hours in the night coughing. He seems a bit off colour and tired today and just wants to lie down with Cbeebies on. Everytime I try to switch it off he cries and clings on to my legs. He doesn't want to do anything else and is a bit tired from waking up in the night. I feel guilty having the TV on all day though - but he isn't feeling great. Would I be unreasonable just to let him lie down and watch TV today?

I would leave it on if it helps settle him when he's not well. Chances are its just a bit of background noise while he doses.

Aww, get the poor little thing a blanket and a pillow and stop bothering him Hope he feels better after a day of lying on the sofa watching tv.

He's poorly so let him lie in front of the tv. One day won't rot his brain! You could always justify it by having a tv free day when he's better!

Not at all! If I feel crap it's all I want to do. It really won't do any harm, and might help him by letting him rest but giving him something to think about outside the fact he doesn't feel well.

Thanks all - I'll leave him alone and stop disturbing him! He hasn't got a temp or anything, but he's full of a cold and has this horrible nighttime cough that woke us both up at 3am this morning.

of course! lots of educational stuff on there . couting, numbers. letters. it is all there
what is the problem? when you sick you might lay on sofa and watch tv right?

I always let my one watch tv if she's sick. She mostly naps through the day on the sofa and is up running when she's better and the tv is back off then.

When DC's sick thats all she wants to do, as do I when Im sick...only time you can watch tv all day and not feel guilty!!
