...to think 12.30 is not 'mid morning?'

DD has joined the Pony Club. They are having a rally this weekend, we are not yet expert rally-goers, having only been to one so far that was called off half way through because of an unexpected blizzard! The rally was advertised aaaaaaaages ago, and the application form states it will be held in the morning, with exact start times given out closer to the day. As yet, the start time is still a secret.

I rang the organiser last night, and she said 'ah, yes, we're working on it. Should be sometime in the mid morning - 12 or 12.30 or something like that! We'll let you know.' I thought 12 o'clock was noon, and therefore a time after that would, strictly speaking, be described as the afternoon, not mid morning? Anyway, I'd like to know the time, as I would like to be able to plan things for myself as well as DD, not just spend the whole day hanging round in anticipation of taking part in a potato race with a 4 year old!
