My 5 year old had a febrile convulsion last week...will I ever feel comfortable with him sleeping in his own bed again!?

Also, Im bloody freezing, will I ever be able to turn the heating on again without feeling blind panic?

Yes. Mine has had several, and though scary they are not harmful. He'll grow out of them soon anyway.
