Dh picking at MY chicken

(This is a non-issue for the record.)
I do most of the cooking mostly cause I am better at it I finish work earlier. I also cook the roast on Sunday as Dh says he can't do the timings and that I do it better.
I haven't been cooking as much recently due to c-section issues so we haven't had a Sunday roast until today.
I always pick at the chicken once we are done with it. It is my right because I cooked it and everyone has had some, I put some on Dh's sandwiches for work so he has had his fair share. I left it in the microwave while I put the Dc's to bed.
Came down and found Dh his hands picking the skin that I'd left for ME.
He left nothing for me.
Not happy at all Angry
Dh said he deserved some as he has been cooking for the kids these past few weeks so he should get it.
So whos bu?

There's a rat in my chicken, what i'm a gonna do, etc etc

I also cook the chicken and ditto re picking carcass and ditto re dh if he took my picking rights.

I skimmed the thread title and thought your DH was picking at your children. I was all ready with my "leave the bastard".

Mind you, picking at your chicken after you've cooked the Sunday roast is just as bad in my book. Leave the bastard. Grin

Cold chicken skin, OP? Really? Shock I can see the appeal of freshly roasted skin but skin that's gone all rubbery and greasy... bleurchh.

Buy yourself a nice duck breast, spread some honey on the skin, a sprinkle of salt, pan-fry it and scoff it in front of your DH with no leftovers for hm. Grin

Yanbu by the way- he is being a tit. Next time, leave him fuck all chicken and spit on ALL the remaining leftovers and say to him 'it's all mine, I've marked it'

That will teach him

DP knows he will receive a fate worse than death if he steals any of MY food, you are definitely nbu, I also agree with the chicken pinching from his sandwiches and replace it with divorce papers Angry

only problem I can see is that he ate all of it. surely you wouldn't begrudge him a bit of the chicken skin?

Is he a leg or a breast man?

I also read the title as "picking at the children" but now I realise he's been troughing down your chicken, you've only really got a couple of options.

  1. Leave the bastard.

  1. And take his sandwiches with you.

Cook it together for a few weeks and then he'll learn the timings...it's as simple as any other meal once you know how.

Mind you, that'll make him entitled to more chicken skin...so perhaps not Grin
