Sort of a thread about a thread, but more general too. I just keep seeing posters getting jumped on for mentioning some aspect of their lives, which others see as aspirational or boasting. Why not just ignore/give the benefit of the doubt rather than jump down their throats?

FFS, I once got accused of stealth boasting on a supermarket thread for complaining about slow people who linger too long in front of the hummous.
