AIBU?

To be pissed of with Amazon?

Got an email from them the other day - 30% off selected toys and games. Brilliant - the scooters I wanted for my twins birthday were on offer from £20 to £16. So I bought them, and they were delivered super quick.

Have just gone back on as I thought that maybe DSS would like a scooter as well, he is too big for his old bike and tbh we don't really have room for one. It brought up the ones I have already bought and now they are only £14 each!

WIBU to return and rebuy, considering I don't actually need them till January 17th? Or am I just being a tightarse? Xmas Grin

FWIW I wouldn't pay return postage as OH would post from work

That is irritating, but seriously, all the hassle of returning, re-ordering, being in to collect, etc? All for four quid?

Treat yourself to not giving a shit about it Smile

Seems a lot of faff for a £4 saving.
Not sure why you're pissed off with Amazon - their prices change often in order to stay competitive.

You are willing to do that for 4quid? Well knock yourself out.

Why are you pissed off at Amazon though? It's called business....

On that basis I could be equally pissed off that having waited until the Delia Christmas Cakes in a box went down to £7.50 on Friday before buying one, I now discover they've reduced the sodding things to a £5. I don't blame Waitrose. I blame myself for losing my nerve and not holding out for longer!

The Sainsburys Make Your Own cake pack was down to £2 yesterday -jfyi Grin.

I know you're all right. It's just annoying when you think you have got 'the' Christmas deal only to find out that less than a week later they are going to have an even better one! (I have done most of my shopping online, resisting the urge to check everything now!)

Therefore, I must resign myself to becoming exactly like my dad, a tightarse, and returning it, or not and sucking it up.

Think I won't and just silently seethe for about 10 minutes and then treat myself to a biscuit or three for being so sensible. Xmas Wink

Oh, and naturally should be 'off' not 'of' in OP!

Blimey all that packing and re-labelling for 4 quid?? I don't think I'd be too upset. (Dh probably would though Grin)

I like Amazon. It's saved me 100's of hours trawling round shops. Mind you if it doesn't all arrive on time I might feel differently this time next week..

Oh Bob I love Amazon really! Just feel a bit put out really.

And - touch wood - most of the big stuff I order that comes via courier comes by Hermes and the guy is lovely. Always shows up just as I get in the bath though.

the price guarantee only applies if the price drops after you've ordered and before the goods are sent.

£4 is not woth the hassle, but I have been known to rebuy presents in the January sale and return them using the originsl receipt...

If they were 30% off at £20, then they should have been £14, so you were overcharged. Kick up a fuss!

Mog is right, 30% off should be 14. Worth checking with them to see if the original price was a mistake?

Hmmmm...you're right. And have just checked my statement and was charged £28, so £14 each Xmas Blush

So, in answer to my own AIBU, Yes, IABVU as I was only charged £14 and neglected to check my statement. Oops Xmas Blush
