obviously its christmas in december then my birthday in mid jan and baby is due late jan/early feb

would i be unreasonable to point them all towards the ebay shop i buy my nappies off? we're pretty skint and they would be much more useful that bottles of wine (while pregnant, happened last time !) and tiny, identical impractical baby clothes/toys

what do you think? they are cheap nappies so im not askng for massive amounts of money and just a few would really help us out?

YANBU - asking for specific birthday/Christmas presents is different to asking for money at a wedding, I think.

Make it known that you'd be really grateful for whatever they give, I for one would be so much happier buying a present I know would be useful and wanted, than having to guess at what someone might like.

I wouldn't ask JUST for baby things though - mum deserves nice things too!

If someone asks, why not?

My mum's got me a groupon voucher to have my hair done for my birthday (Nov) because she knows I keep it long to avoid paying to have my hair cut! Be prepared for folk to want to get something for you though Smile and congratulations!
